There is something for every family to enjoy together with all of the commercial activities that surround us but there is a certain something that we always felt when our family got together in a place that was away from all of our daily distractions and away from home that was hard to put into words and that feeling of warmth and caring is an important part of what we are trying to make available to our guests.

Miramachi Salmon Fishing: I have some friends that run a sporting camp in New Brunswick that are willing to work with me to set up fishing trips to New Brunswick to fish for Atlantic Salmon and if any of our visitors are interested in trying this trip of a lifetime I can help to make that trip a reality.
or Thirteen years ago I made my first trip to the Miramachi and hooked and landed my first Grilse and when that happens I think that you become hooked for life. Within twenty five miles of Pike Pond Cabins we have access to the Connecticut, Androscoggin and the Ammonoosic Rivers that are major river systems that pass through our area. We also have many lakes and ponds throughout our area that are too numerous to name but each one has its own unique beauty to explore.
It is possible to cover miles of these rivers, lakes and ponds, in watercraft of your choice and in so doing you can see some of the most beautiful scenery and untold varieties of birds and wildlife that any region has to offer. Along the way there are historical sites of note and this combination can make one of the most enjoyable experiences of the Summer season.

There are a lot of reasons cycling fanatics love this part of New Hampshire in the summer. Gentle hills and country roads through mountain passes are ideal for scenic touring while the off road trails and wooded paths are a mountain biker’s dream. We have miles of trails for any level of enthusiast. Whether you want to coast past a covered bridge and take a few photos or test your resolve and peddle up one of hundreds of challenging mountain trails, we’re sure you’ll find Pike Pond Cabins a perfect place to start and a comfortable place to return for a well deserved rest.
I have some friends who are avid bikers and who have biked over much of this area who will be more than happy to help me answer your questions regarding the types of trips that are available here and can give insight into the lengths and difficulty of many of the trips that we have in this area.

Hiking the woods of New Hampshire is a great way to relax by yourself or create lasting memories with family and friends.
Finding a trail that’s just right for you can make your hike a lasting memory. My wife Debbie and I have been avid hikers for the last fifteen years. Debbie has done many of the four thousand footers in NH and several in Maine, including sections of the Cohos Trail, which extends from the Presidentials and passes through our property on its way to Pittsburg, NH and eventually links with a trail system in Quebec. We can help you find a hike that will suit your abilities.
We are working on a connecting trail, and will have it completed in the Spring of 2009, so that hikers can leave our cabin and hike across this trail to a junction on the Cohos trail just north of Rt 110 in Stark NH. likewise those who are hiking towards Pike Pond Cabins from either direction can have direct access off the Cohos Trail to our cabin for over night stay or to pick up supplies if you want to have them forwarded to us. Photography: Everywhere that you participate in outdoor activities in our region there are opportunities to photograph the scenery and the wildlife that we often take for granite as we live here. The wildlife is spectacular and the scenery can be breath taking so while you are hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or just traveling around sight seeing don’t forget to bring your camera so that you can capture for ever some of the most beautiful sights that you will ever see.
In addition we can suggest some areas that are hard to find that are spectacular and if you wish for someone to guide you to some of those remote locations we can help you find people who can do that as well.
